Sustainable jeans with uncompromised quality are our topmost priority.

From the raw materials we use to our final finished jeans, we make sure to create a positive impact on the planet with our production processes while making the best in-line jeans for you.

At Blackicing we believe in limiting the environmental impact caused when manufacturing jeans. We are conscious of the fact that commercial production of cotton and dyes – two main components used in jean manufacture – results in several adverse effects on the environment.

Keeping those negative impacts in mind, we emphasize a lot to make our jeans only from locally grown cotton that we collect from Karnatka, India. Not only does this make the manufacturing process sustainable but it also encourages cotton grown locally within the nation.

Water is a sacred resource for all living forms and that is the same for us. These organic cottons create a huge difference in the entirety of our jean manufacturing process when it comes to maintaining and limiting water use. Not only does organic cotton use 91% less water than conventional cotton but it helps to save massive volumes of water that would have otherwise been used.

We ensure that the cotton that we use is grown in the proper manner and the farmers carry out the best practises in regards while growing them.

Commercially producing toxic synthetic dye not only affects the environment but also the workplace and the workers. Taking this into consideration we only use natural indigo dyes while producing our best in line jeans. Less synthetic dyes use means lesser chemicals to deal with in the manufacturing process, hence our workers work with lesser chemicals. So they are not exposed to harms brought by the exposure as well as the negative impacts that those chemicals may have on the environment is also reduced significantly.

Zippers use metals when they are made. Mining of those required metals can indeed lead to numerous environmental impacts. So we hand pick our metal suppliers taking into consideration how they get hands on those metal and that their mining process is indeed sustainable.

Once we get our metal, we make them into zippers for our jeans in our company itself. Using our energy efficient machines, we shape those metals into zippers and all the while we give utmost importance on the accuracy and quality of the final outcome of how the zippers come out to be, making sure that each and every one is top-grade before use.

We make our threads from locally available resources and ensure that while manufacturing the required quantity of threads for our jeans, the environment is not negatively impacted in any way.

We gather locally grown organic cotton from Karnatka while is sent to Gujrat where they are converted into thread through sustainable and environmentally friendly processes and practises.

It is also one of our top priorities that no carbon footprint is left behind during the whole manufacturing process and we deal with this seriously.

For our premium label jeans threads we even obtain universal threads from local Jari dealers in order to provide our customers with the best quality there is to offer from our side.

Buttons and rivets

We highly encourage locally produced goods to use in our jeans. Same is the case for the buttons that we use.

We obtain buttons and rivets for our jeans from Sadar Bazar in Delhi. Doing so not only promotes local goods and manufacturers but also helps us to provide jeans with uncompromised quality but in considerably lesser price ranges.

Before buying our buttons we make sure that while manufacturing them the suppliers adhered to environment friendly practises and no chemical wastes or any other harmful by-products were made. Exploitation of resources while manufacturing the buttons is also checked and so is the energy consumption by the machines.

So before approving our suppliers we keep these things in mind and not only how cheaply they provide us with the products.

Pocket Lining

Empowering local manpower is also one of our goals.

In order to make our pocket linings we have employed Vishan who has been working on this field for over 30 years of his life. Local manpower such as Vishan not only brings their experience and expertise but also helps to encourage other locals in working hard for their country.

We have observed Vishan in action and we can guarantee that not only is his every work top-quality but he also abides by the rules that make sure no harmful chemicals or any substance that may cause a negative impact on the environment is used and that is what we stand for.

Brand Patches

We make each of our jeans stand out from the rest in the market by embedding our brand patches onto them.

In order to do so we work together with a patch company in Gandhi Nagar, Delhi. They are famous for providing leather brand patches for all manufactures who are seeking a unique brand patch for their products.

This promotes local goods while adhering to manufacturing rules that generate sustainable products without any negative impacts on the environment.

For washing of our jeans, we have partnered with two companies: one from Loni, Delhi and other from Nodia.

Top-grade technology is used by our partners which not only limits the environmental footprint of our company but also makes sure to deliver the best services locally.

Print / Packaging and Shipping

We do our own printing and packaging of our jeans. This helps us to make sure that proper practices are followed while doing so and to keep in check that the jeans are in perfect condition before they are distributed, shipped or sold to our customers.

Our shipping partner is Ecourriers who make sure that you get the jeans you order arrive at your door step in the best condition without any compromise.

Power and Energy Use

In accordance to the recent reforms made by our government, our machines and the company as a whole utilizes power very efficiently while manufacturing our jeans.

Energy efficient machines are used in our company which limits the production of any green house gases. We are carbon neutral and are constantly evolving our energy practises to make sure we minimize our impact on the environment as much as possible.
